Kathleen Firtle has been a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New York for five years, working in both the residential and commercial sectors. During her undergraduate studies, she spent summers exploring the ins and outs of the residential market, scouring Manhattan with clients for rental apartments. She also worked on a part-time basis with Charter School Facilities in an intern capacity and learned about financing and lease negotiations involving non-profits. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Global Strategy from McGill University, she decided to immediately pursue a graduate degree in Finance. Kathleen earned an M.B.A. from Binghamton University in 2011, which helped solidify the business acumen she gained in her undergraduate studies and allowed her an exciting opportunity to study emerging markets firsthand in India. She then ventured to work for a search engine optimization start-up in Brooklyn where she gained expertise in digital marketing. Kathleen decided that she desired greater autonomy in her career and to pursue a path more in line with her academic interest in entrepreneurship. Her background in strategy, marketing and finance make her a natural fit for real estate consulting and negotiation. Currently, she is excited to help charter schools find permanent homes to serve their communities and to continue to learn more about the city she has called home since birth. In the future, she hopes to apply her knowledge in real estate to a career in construction project management.
